We take pride in our homage to the rich heritage of seasonal British ingredients that adorn our menus. Whether it’s the finest hand-foraged wild garlic from Martin Denny’s expeditions across the Norfolk Broads, or Dingley Dell Farm, with their above-and-beyond commitment to their animals, Dingley Dell does things differently (and brilliantly) and we are proud to partner with them.
Our Head Chef brings these exceptional ingredients to life with the signature Lass flair that infuses our dishes. Our ingredients herald from the abundant larder of the British Isles, selecting each ingredient at its peak of freshness and seasonality and honour the dedication of farmers, artisans, and producers. Every delectable bite narrates a tale – a tale of a nearby fifth generation farm, a cherished family-run bakery’s craftsmanship, or an unassuming local treasure.
Each roast is served with beef dripping potatoes, heritage carrots, parsnips, braised cabbage, double egg Yorkshire pudding, and red wine gravy

Chris, our brilliant General Manager, and our endlessly-creative Head Chef, make quite the dream team (the kind that keeps both wine glasses full and plates empty). With a shared love for the very best seasonal ingredients – the kind you’ll only find fresh from the fields, coasts and farms of the British Isles – they bring a little extra magic to every visit. Robbie’s dishes are hearty-yet-refined (think familiar flavours with an oh-wow twist), while Chris is the master of pairing them with wines that feel handpicked just for you.
Together, they champion the seasons in every forkful and every sip, serving up food and drink that’s indulgent, neighbourly, and always worth coming back for (second helpings encouraged).

Martin Denny, an esteemed forager renowned for his expertise in hand-selecting wild ingredients, has been passionately foraging for over two decades across the picturesque landscapes of the Norfolk Broads. With more than twenty years of dedicated experience, Martin has honed his skills in identifying, harvesting, and celebrating the bounty offered by nature, particularly the exquisite nettles that thrive in the diverse ecosystems of the Broads. His commitment to sustainable foraging practices and his profound knowledge of the region’s flora have made him a respected figure in the realm of wild food sourcing and we are delighted to feature his harvest on our menus.

Close out your week with comfort: a well-deserved rest for you and a don’t-miss-this Sunday feast from us. Think slow-cooked, succulent meats, rise-to-the-occasion double egg Yorkshire puddings, and more pourable joy gravy than you’ll ever need. Richmond Park honey is a golden testament to the harmonious relationship between nature and beekeeping within the sprawling oasis of Richmond Park. This exquisite honey embodies the diverse floral tapestry found within this historic parkland, a result of the bees’ industrious work collecting nectar from a myriad of blossoms, including wildflowers, lime trees, and blackberries that flourish throughout the park. Produced by the park’s dedicated beekeepers, who carefully tend to the hives nestled amidst the lush landscapes, Richmond Park honey captures the essence of this unique habitat.
Our Reviews
This was our first visit to Lass O’Richmond Hill. The pub is beautiful and made more magical with it tasteful lighting and open fire. We booked a table for dinner and stayed for a wonderfully relaxing 3 courses with wine. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Great selection of dishes cooked really well and a satisfying portion size. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We are already looking forward to our new visit. Highly recommended. The perfect gastro pub.

What an amazing pub, run by amazing people. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the food was out of this world. My friend has a few dietary restrictions, and someone from the kitchen came to speak with her. You simply don’t get good food and this level of service in many places nowadays. Think I have just found our regular meet up pub.

Amazing English pub with warm fireplace and deco to create a lovely atmosphere. Was after a walk in Richmond park and for a bday meal! Lovely staff and great food. The bone marrow and steak was amazing!

My wife and I visited midweek for the first time since the refurbishment and had an excellent experience all round. The food was excellent, we had pitted olives, potted Devon crab, the West Country beef shin & wild mushroom stew and the Breaded Sutton Hubbard chicken schnitzel, and a side of chips (the best we've had for a long time). My wife also said that the Bakewell cocktail was scrumptious!! Everyone was very welcoming and the service from Josh and Sam was brilliant. We can't wait to go back again.
Stumbled in after a very long walk and snaffled a nice table, and sat down to a delicious fish & chips and a warm beef & mushroom stew. Really good food, reasonably priced. The atmosphere is really warm and welcoming - like a charming local where everyone goes to celebrate.
