The scent of spice-laced, simmering mulled wine on arrival can only mean one thing, Santa’s sleigh-bells-and-lip-smacking-mince-pies entrance is imminent (brace yourselves). Skip the faffy, pint-pointing bar debates and get everyone merrily mulling from the get-go (hands warm, spirits warmer).

Tucked away at the back of the pub, our Dining Room transforms at Christmas into a fairy-light-flecked spot, with windows overlooking the garden and tables dressed for feasting. Spacious yet cosy, it’s the perfect setting for every kind of celebration – from long-table, three-course roasts with all the trimmings to semi-private drinks parties with buffet spreads that disappear faster than you can say “save me a pig in blanket.” Whatever the occasion, the Dining Room is your backdrop for those mince-pie-munched, cracker-pulling, memory-making moments that make Christmas unforgettable.

We arranged a Christmas lunch for our walking group at The Lass - The staff were exceptionally efficient in helping to organise the event. The food was judged as really excellent by all our party and the service was impeccable. We would definitely go again!
